Sam is sprawled out on the roof of the Cooper household, eyes closed, with a blade of grass clutched between his teeth.

Sam's doing trainy stuffs.

It mostly consists of moving through fighting forms while weaving gold light between his fingers and into shapes. Now and again he looks West, rubs his forehead as if to stave off a headache, and continues.

He'll probably start doing more complex things soon. If he can be bothered, that is.

Kate slept in, the few dreams she had were nightmares of war, and of blinding cold imprisonment. She was outside in the field near the Cooper farm, going through katas as a warmup, despite the still bandaged leg.
